Financial Analyst, Spinal and Biologics
Memphis, Tennessee, USA

I learned about Medtronic while attending graduate school. My class read the book "God is My CEO," which has a section about former Medtronic CEO Bill George. I was very impressed. Being curious and assertive, I went to the Medtronic booth at the National Black MBA Career Fair to learn more. At the time, I worked as an auditor for a major grocery chain. I had been there since high school, but decided I wanted to put my education to use in a more meaningful way.
At the Career Fair, I got an on-the-spot interview for financial analyst, and was soon hired. It's a good fit for me. I enjoy working with numbers. I prepare revenue and trend analyses for our biologic products, and get to work with charts, graphs, and spreadsheets.
I also like that we help diverse people from diverse walks of life with so many diverse products. This is a meaningful career.
