Purpose
This state-of-the-art system gives you the control of an insulin pump plus REAL-Time continuous glucose monitoring. The Medtronic Diabetes Paradigm REAL-Time System helps you take immediate action to manage your glucose levels and potentially prevent diabetes-related complications.
The easy-to-read REAL-Time display gives you real-time trend graphs, trend arrows, and glucose readings.
Features
- Displays updated glucose values every 5 minutes (288 reading per day)
- Displays 3-hour and 24-hour glucose trend graphs, as well as arrows that indicate how fast and in what direction glucose is moving
- Designed to alert patients to potentially dangerous high and low glucose levels by sounding an alarm or vibrating
- Requires a minimum of two calibrations each day (one every 12 hours). A confirmatory fingerstick using a standard blood glucose meter is required prior to making self-management or therapy decisions
